A downloadable game for Windows

You play as an agent, escaping from a hi-tech secret organization "Illusion" to transport a certain... 'Artefact' that lets you shift the direction of gravity itself. Your escape plan, however, is shattered as you fall into an unescapable abyss. Though seeming habitable, the mysterious civilization hiding in the chasm do not seem too keen on welcoming the guest - the one who holds the 'Artefact'.

You must find your way out of the unidentified underground cavity whilst escaping (or fighting) the threats along the way vigilantly. Also find the secrets hidden within the cave. Was falling into the pit not a coincidence after all?

Fall is an action-adventure platformer (game) coded entirely in Python (in perhaps the most unprofessional way) using no GUI; instead exploiting string printing. This, however has its own limits:

  • screen flashing, more often than never, on update (NOTE: This game may trigger photosensitive epilepsy. Consider this an epilepsy warning!);
  • input lags are commonplace;
  • some interactions may not be evident, explicit, or coherent;
  • some inputs may not be registered properly;
  • since the game is coded with a few Windows-specific modules, it may not be ported to other platforms;
  • and it does not support full-screen since it is command line interface (CLI) based.

Regardless, the game is fully functional, and playable.
